Community Publishing is a bottom-up approach to knowledge communication. A growing number of communities are experimenting with creating their own review, curation, production, publication, and impact analysis processes. These emerging models have the potential to shift power from monolithic gatekeepers to communities of practice, creating a more equitable, effective, and sustainable academic publishing ecosystem.

The Community Publishing Project seeks to identify, support, and amplify those efforts, as well as provide a hub for the events, resources and toolkits needed to for communities to adopt and accelerate their efforts.
